Hæ guys! Today we have yet another crochet tutorial, in this video I‘m going to be showing you how to make this aesthetic candy hearts granny square cardigan!
I tried my best making this as beginner friendly as possible, and this project is perfect for using up all your scrap yarn!
The free pattern is written down below!

-small ones are 10x10cm, and the big ones are 13x13cm

-I recommend using a bigger hook, or bulkier yarn for bigger sizes

where do I put the big squares?
-the big squares are made to help you start joining each piece of the cardigan. To start joining you attach one small square to one big square and join from the bottom up for each piece of the cardigan. If you’re still unsure how to do this, “The Secret Yarnery” has a very good join as you go tutorial on her channel:

Make 36 in whatever colors you like:
row 1: mr ch1, ch3 (counts as 1dc)
2dc in mr, ch2
[3dc in mr, ch2] x3
Pull ring closed, join to top of 1st dc
row 2: ch1, 8dc in next ch2sp
ch1, 1sc in next ch2sp
ch1, sk1st, in 2nd st make 2sc ch1 2sc
ch1, 1sc in next ch2sp

ch1, slst to middle of 1st cluster

GRANNY SQUARE:
make 31 squares from row 1 to 2, and 5 squares from row 1 to 3 (total of 36 squares, 31 small ones & 5 big ones)

THIS ROW IS WORKED IN BLO ALL AROUND
Make a slipknot and attach yarn to back loop of bottom of heart with a slst
1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1tr, ch2
1dc, 1hdc, 4sc, ch2, 4sc
now you should have reached the top of the heart, make 1hdc in the middle of heart, in same st as you made the last slst of the heart.
pull a little on left side of heart to reach st under the hdc (a little hard to reach)
1sc in next 4sts, ch2
1sc in next 4sts, 1hdc, 1dc, ch2
1tr, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc
slst to the first slst (into both loops)
