In this video I will show you how to crochet the perfect granny square. This video is intended for the absolute beginner. If you have never crocheted a day in your life, by the end of this video, you will have made your very own perfect granny square.

I will cover every step to achieving the perfectly square granny square and talk about where some things may go wrong.

Materials:
Yarn – I am using a weight 4 yarn (worsted weight) – you can use any yarn
I hand dye my own merino wool yarn which you can find for sale on my website here:
Crochet hook – 4.5mm (use the hook recommended for the yarn you are using)
Scissors (or something to cut the yarn ends)
Tapestry needle (also called a darning needle)
