Join Tess (from us at @SistersInStitch) in this gorgeous overlay crochet granny square from The Ultimate Granny Square Sourcebook: The Sunny Side Pop.

The Sunny Side Pop is a stunning contemporary granny square design inspired by the fauna of my favourite little Island, Ornö. Gorgeous popcorns meets back- and front post stitches together with some lovely bobbles in this sweet and happy – 9 rounds – granny square design.

The name is actually a play of the epic sunny side up egg breakfast and it is the 7th of the 10 squares I designed for The Ultimate Granny Square Sourcebook 2019; an amazing collection with 23 designers and their 100 unique designs!

This highly textured yet calm square makes a perfect base for crochet makes such as pillows, blankets, book covers; or why not a wall hanging?

You’ll find the written pattern, inspirational pictures, the amazing book and much more over on our homepage: www.SistersInStitch.com/SunnySidePop

For this tutorial, we have used Yarn And Colors mercerised cotton yarn called Must-have in the following 5 colors:

A: Pearl (043)
B: Mustard (015)
C: Old Pink (047)
D: Cream (002)
E: Antique Pink (048)
We can’t wait to see which colors you will use for yours.

Happy crocheting!
