In this video I take you “step by step” through, how to follow a Granny Square crochet chart, using my “Crochet Go as You Go” method.
Please note: I’m naturally left handed, so although I’m crocheting with my left hand in the video, I am Following the crochet chart that Is to be followed In an anti-clockiwise direction. This Is because unless stated on each Individual specific chart, most charts are produced to be read In an anti-clockwise direction.
You only need to know how to make a slipknot, chain, and (UK) Treble, or (USA) Double Crochet Stitch and you’ll be able to follow along and start to gain confidence in understanding and reading a chart.
If you can read a crochet chart, you’ll be able to read and visualise a crochet pattern more quickly, check back on your work and ensure your stitches are correct – and crochet charts are universal so you’ll be able to read a chart in any language.
